What is the LIC Assistant exam?
The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) holds an online recruitment exam once per year for the position of LIC Assistant. Those who are successful in the exam go on to work in various offices of the Life Insurance Corporation of India as cashiers, single-window operators, customer service executives, and in other clerical services.
LIC Assistant Exam Pattern- Prelims
There will be 3 sections in the Written Exam, namely: Reasoning, English Language / Hindi Language, Quantitative Aptitude

The candidates who clear their Prelims and Mains exams get to the interview stage. Candidates selected from the interview have to go through the following procedure:
This is an undertaking signed before joining as the LIC Apprentice Development Officer by the candidate to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of four years from the date of joining (including apprenticeship period)
The newly appointed Apprentice Development Officer needs to undergo theoretical and field sales training.
The ADO who successfully completes the apprenticeship is suitable for appointment to the service of the LIC as a Development Officer and may be placed on probation. The period of probation is of 1 year and can be extended up to two years.
