The Exam Pattern for IBPS RRB PO consists of the following stages:

Total marks 80, covered by two sections.
No sectional timing.
Negative marks – 0.25 for each wrong answer.

Both sectional cut-off and overall cut-off are applicable. The prelims cleared candidates will attend the mains exam.

The mains exam pattern for officer scale I posts will consist of 5 sections in total.
Total marks – 200
Total time duration – 2 hours (no sectional timing)
Penalty for each wrong answer – 1/4th of marks assigned to that question.
Candidates should clear both sectional and overall cut-off to get qualified in this exam.

The IBPS RRB PO prelims is only qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this phase of the examination are not included in the final merit of the candidates. Those who qualify the prelims are shortlisted for the mains and those who qualify mains are further shortlisted for Interview.

Interview Phase for IBPS RRB PO

The marks for the interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview for Probationary Officers will be as per extant guidelines. Only by qualifying both in the Online Examination (Main/Single) and Common Interview with sufficiently high marks will candidates be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process.

The minimum marks required to qualify for the IBPS RRB interview is 40% (35% for reserved candidates).
