THE FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA (FCI)

  • FCI Recruitment 2022: Food Corporation of India (FCI) is one of the largest Public Sector Undertaking that deals with food grain and supply chain management. Established on 14th January 1965 with its first district office in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, the Food Corporation of India has been managing various depots and private equity godowns all across the country.
  • Eligibility:- Undergraduate Degree from a recognized University
  • Age Limit:- 25 years to 28 years (depends upon the post)

FCI Recruitment Selection Process:

The whole selection procedure is divided into stages or phases. There can be two or three phases depending upon the post. The details for various phases are:

  • Phase I:This phase involves a written test that is common for all the applicants. This exam would test the applicant’s general aptitude, reasoning skills, and knowledge of the English language.
  • Phase II:Candidates who qualify the Phase I of the FCI exam proceed to phase II. In phase II, post specific tests are there. The candidate has to give one or two papers depending upon the post.
  • Phase III: This phase is also known as a Skill test. The candidates applying for the post of Typist and Stenographer only need to give this test, which will test their suitability for the post.
  • After all these, document verification is there and lastly, the merit list will be formed and candidates whose name is there in the merit list will be offered Job letters.

FCI Recruitment Exam Pattern

The exam will be conducted in two phases: Phase 1 and 2. Phase I is common for all and it consists of the following sections:

  • Paper I, III, and V contain 120 MCQs, and each MCQ is having 1 mark.
  • Paper-II, which is a post-specific paper consists of 60 MCQs, each containing marks.
  • Paper IV consists of 60 questions and each is having 2 marks each.

FCI Recruitment Exam Syllabus

The FCI written exam has two phases which are followed by a skill test (if applicable). Phase-I exam is common for all the posts while the Phase-II exam is specific to the post. The Phase-I exam has questions from English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Numerical Aptitude sections.
