What is the ESIC Exam?

  • Employee State Insurance Corporation conducts an exam to recruit eligible candidates for paramedical posts, Clerk, MTS, UDC, and stenographer.
  • ESIC is a national-level examination conducted once a year. The recruitment process depends on the post applied. Candidates with mandatory qualifications and experience should apply for this exam.

ESIC Recruitment Exam: Selection Process

  • The “selection process” consists of the following steps:

– Screening of Application.

– Online Examination.

– Computer skill test & Stenography test.

– Document Verification.

Educational Qualification:

  • Junior Engineer:Candidates should have a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering.
  • Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II:Candidates must be from Medical background.
  • Stenographer:Candidates must have completed their intermediate/12th from a recognized board and also must have the typing speed of 80 WPM in English or Hindi Language.
  • UDC: candidates should have completed their bachelor’s degree in the required stream from a recognized university or institute and must have basic knowledge of computers.
  • MTS:Prospects must have at least cleared matriculation from the recognized board.

Age limit:

  • Junior Engineer: The age of the candidates applying should be a maximum of 30.
  • Insurance Medical Officer: The age of the candidates applying should be a maximum of 30.
  • Stenographer:  The candidate’s age should be between 18-27.
  • UDC: The candidate’s age should be between 18-27.
  • MTS: The candidates age should be between 18-25
  • Upper Age Limit: The Candidates should not exceed by 30 years
  • Reservation Candidates: The Candidates will get an age relaxation of 5 years and will be applicable as per the rules of the central government. The upper age limit can be relaxed to the candidates (ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen)

EXAM PATTERN:

  • ESIC Exam is conducted via online mode (Computer-based test) and it has two phases:

– Paper 1   

– Paper 2

  • Paper 1: Paper 1 consists of multiple-choice questions for 200 marks which should be completed within 2 hours.
  • Paper 2: Paper 2 will be for 50 marks which should be complete within 30 Minutes.
  • Candidates qualifying for both papers will be called for an interview.

ESIC Exam: Syllabus

Phase I-Preliminary Examination Pattern

The duration of time is one hour. The total marks for the examination is 200 consisting of 100 questions. It is demonstrated as follows:
